Union building
In construction at least 108,000 workers are killed on site every year. That's one person dying every five minutes because of bad, and illegal, working conditions.

The International Federation of Building and Wood Workers, the international umbrella group for building trade unions, launched its Global Health and Safety Programme in 2000. Fiona Murie, the IFBWW programme's director, reports that today more than 100 trade unions in 65 countries are involved, working together to improve conditions for workers in construction, forestry and timber trades worldwide.
