ABREA activities 28th April

20-21th April - Latin American meeting with Unionists (ICM) in Sao Caetano do Sul.

24/4/2006 - demonstration in Osasco downton and rally in front of the city's largest shopping centre. ABREA will hold a stand in this place/square for one week with materials (including photos) and also will distribute pamphlets and booklets. The Osasco munipality that has issued a law banning asbestos will hold an asbestos awareness campaign; the mayor is displaying 50 banners distributed in the city.

25/4/2006 - I will be in Brasilia to guarantee the maintenance of our resolution that states asbestos waste to be dangerous; and also to halt the asbestos mining and building industry's attempts to withdraw our resolution. ABREA will hold a stand downtown denouncing industry's tricks.

26/4/2006 - 19:00 - Rally at the Council of Osasco city.

27/4/2006 17:00 - In the square of Aquilino there will be a religious ceremony with families who have lost relatives due to asbestos.

28/4.2006 - 2 buses (one from Osasco and one from Sao Caetano) will drive asbestos victims to a demonstration close to Fundacentro against the Brazilian governmental decision to maintain the use of asbestos.
